Georgina is an associate in our civil litigation team. Her practice focuses on high stakes commercial and insolvency litigation, often involving cross-border elements.

Georgina’s experience includes fraud litigation, contractual claims and banking disputes. She has also acted for insolvency practitioners, creditors and directors in a range of insolvency litigation, including misfeasance / breach of duty claims, claims involving antecedent transactions and contentious restructuring matters. 

Notable Experience

  • Acting for the Provisional Liquidators of a BVI company in High Court possession proceedings against trespassers, obtaining a possession order in respect of the non-demised parts of a £100m office block in the City of London.
  • Acting for an overseas company in its successful application for an urgent freezing injunction over assets in the UK in support of foreign proceedings and pursuant to the Chabra jurisdiction.
  • Acting for the defendant director in relation to an office holder claim for misfeasance and breach of duty.

Background

Georgina studied Classics at Oxford. She completed the GDL at City University and the LPC at BPP Law School. Before qualifying as a solicitor, Georgina worked in business development and marketing in the legal sector, most recently as part of the senior management team at a leading chancery barristers’ chambers.
