Bruce specialises in law firm operations and leadership having been in law since 1995, in senior leadership since 2001 and in law firm senior leadership for 10 years. 

A qualified solicitor and accredited mediator with audit training, Bruce has spent most of his career working on purpose, people, process and technology lead change and evolution in organisations of all sizes from start up to multinational – including being part of the senior leadership team that established the Legal Services Board and spending 6 ½ years as the GC, COLP, MLRO, DPO and Company Secretary of a 1500 fee earner multi-site legal and financial services group.

Background 

Bruce qualified as a solicitor in 1997, as a mediator in 2014 and received auditor training from Arthur Andersen & Co. He qualified as a solicitor in the City law firm Gouldens (now Jones Day) and has had legal sector roles at SJ Berwin, RPC and Irwin Mitchell. Additionally he has held In House legal and governance roles at Cable & Wireless and ITV Digital and in senior executive legal and governance roles at TELE2, DELL EMEA, The Legal Services Board, Visa Europe and British Rowing. Bruce has also established and run The Centre for Legal Leadership, This Is Valid SA (a Swiss SAAS start up), and his own consulting business. Bruce has been active in running and participating in trade groups and conferences throughout his career as well as mentoring individuals and charities.
