Amy represents professional and high net worth individuals who are subject to criminal investigation and prosecutions. She has extensive experience covering the full spectrum of criminal law including cases involving sexual offences, violence, controlling and coercive behaviour, public order, harassment and drugs. 

Amy’s clients often require careful reputational and professional management. She regularly manages the complex interweave between the numerous proceedings which can stem from a criminal investigation including professional regulators, employment investigations or matrimonial proceedings.  

She is regularly instructed to represent individuals in interviews under caution with the police and other investigating bodies. She has extensive experience of making representations to the CPS to ensure no further action is taken against her clients at the earliest opportunity.  

Amy regularly provides advise to individuals, companies and lawyers from other jurisdictions on whether there has been any criminal offences committed and where appropriate, support them in the reporting to the relevant authorities.

• FCA regulated individual accused of assault, controlling and coercive behaviour and criminal damage. Not guilty following trial. 
• University student accused of rape as the complainant alleged that he had had sexual intercourse with her whilst she was asleep. Representations made to the CPS who did not charge the client. 
• Male accused of conspiracy to murder and importation of £30 million worth of cocaine into the UK as part of the international hack of the encrypted communication service Encrochat. Extensive advice provided to the client’s Swiss lawyers to assist in extradition proceedings. 
• University student accused of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. 
• Professional accused of historic allegations of rape and sexual assault against two family members whilst on holiday abroad.

  • Background

    Amy graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2008 and completed her LPC at the College of Law in London. She trained and qualified at one of the country’s leading general and serious crime firms before joining Byrne and Partners in 2012. She left in 2017 to join an international firm before joining JMW Solicitors LLP to build their criminal team in London. In 2026 she returned to PCB Byrne to lead the firms serious and general crime offering.

    Amy is a member of the London Criminal Courts Solicitors Association (LCCSA), Women in Criminal Law (WICL) and the European Criminal Bar Association (ECBA).
