Next week, Tom McKernan of PCB Byrne LLP will be in Sofia for AIJA's Litigation, T.R.A.D.E. and Public Procurement Conference. Tom will be joining a panel on an ever-present question in cross-border trade disputes: "Beauty contest of applicable laws: who wins the risk game in trade and distribution?"
Tom will be comparing notes with litigators from across a range of jurisdictions on how businesses can get ahead of this, and build it into the way deals are structured in the first place rather than discovering it halfway through a claim.
