Based on a sophisticated model that draws on a range of factors going back to 2020 including courts, claim value, success rates and days in court, and by weighting each factor independently, Solomonic has identified law firms that have delivered consistently strong performance across these measures over time.
In addition, PCB Byrne is listed twice in Solomonic’s Top Tracked Cases of 2025, highlighting those which have generated the greatest interest over the year, including:
- PCB Byrne as one of the claimant firms involving more than 200 institutional investors, representing over 1,400 funds, who brought claims against Standard Chartered seeking damages in excess of £1.5 billion. The claims were brought under sections 90 and 90A of the FSMA, alleging that Standard Chartered made misleading statements to the market and failed to disclose material information.
- PCB Byrne acting for the primary defendants in one of the largest and most high-profile cases heard by the Commercial Court, where Kuwait’s Public Institution for Social Security brought proceedings against former Kuwaiti banker Fahad Al-Rajaan and others in connection with allegations of corruption, bribery and misappropriation of public funds. The case continues through early 2026, having commenced in March 2025.
