We are pleased to announce that Mr. Semyon Simonyan, former Member of the Board of Directors at the Joint-Stock Company Aero-Engine Scientific and Technical Complex “Soyuz,” has been removed from the UK’s Russia sanctions list today. This successful delisting follows a request for ministerial review submitted by PCB Byrne to the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.

Mr. Simonyan resigned from his position at Soyuz prior to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. During his tenure at the company, he was not involved in the development, production, or supply of its products. Additionally, he was not a shareholder at Soyuz, which was a key consideration for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office at the time of his designation.

Mr. Simonyan was represented by Partner Michael Potts and Senior Associate Arozo Gajia of PCB Byrne.
