With a 6-week trial due to commence in April 2024, the eagerly awaited final instalment of a long-running battle between Alexander Gorbachev and Andrei Guriev has been named by The Lawyer as one of its top 20 cases of the year.

The allegations in this high-profile case concern ownership of PhosAgro, a global chemicals company listed on the London Stock Exchange, based on events dating back over 2 decades.

PCB Byrne act for the defendant, Mr Guriev, led by Neil Micklethwaite and Olga Bischof, together with Trevor Mascarenhas, Cath Eason, Marie Smale and Alexander Bogdanov instructing Helen Davies KC of Brick Court, and Tom Weisselberg KC, Daniel Cashman and Rowan Stennett of Blackstone Chambers.
