Madina is an Associate in our commercial litigation department. She is a dual qualified as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales, and a Lawyer in Russia. She has experience in high-profile cross-border litigation and international arbitration proceedings in a broad range of industries, involving matters related to Russian and CIS.
Notable experience
  • Acting for defendants in a £1,5 billion cross-border dispute involving fraud allegations and misappropriation of assets.
  • Representing several High Street retailers in a group litigation action against MasterCard and Visa.
  • Representing Kazakhstan’s football club before the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber and Court of Arbitration for Sports against a Russian football club in a dispute relating to the payment of training compensation.
Background
Madina graduated from the University of Kent in 2014 with a Bachelor of Laws, and in 2017 obtained a Bachelor of Laws at Lomonosov Moscow State University with specialisation in civil law. She obtained a Masters of Laws and completed a Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Manchester. She trained at a City law firm ranked in the Legal 500 and Chambers as a leading commercial litigation firm. Madina is a member of London Solicitors Litigation Association, Young Fraud Lawyers Association and Female Fraud Forum. She speaks English, Russian and is learning French.
