In one of the most highly anticipated judgment in the Family Courts of recent years, PCB Byrne has won another landmark victory for its client Tatiana Akhmedova in pursuit of her £453 million divorce award against her ex-husband, Farkhad Akhmedov.
Tatiana was granted substantial money judgments against (i) the couple’s son, Temur Akhmedov, (ii) Borderedge, a company owned by the couple’s two sons, and (iii) Liechtenstein trustee entities, Counselor Trust Reg and Sobaldo Establishment, for their participation in schemes orchestrated by Farkhad by which they had received assets to frustrate Ms Akhmedova’s ability to enforce her divorce award.
Following a three week trial conducted in December 2020, including live evidence under COVID-safe conditions, Mrs Justice Knowles concluded that Ms Akhmedov “has been the victim of a series of schemes designed to put every penny of the Husband’s wealth beyond her reach”.
The PCB Byrne team comprises Anthony Riem, Rachel Turner, Andrew McLeod, Cath Eason and Caitlin Foster.
